“除你以外、在天上我有誰呢.除你以外、在地上我也沒有所愛慕的。我的肉體、和我的心腸衰殘.但 神是我心裡的力量、又是我的福分、直到永遠。”

“但你多年寬容他們、又用你的靈藉眾先知勸戒他們、他們仍不聽從.所以你將他們交在列國之民的手中。然而你大發憐憫、不全然滅絕他們、也不丟棄他們.因為你是有恩典、有憐憫的 神。”

“For many years you were patient with them. By your Spirit you admonished them through your prophets. Yet they paid no attention, so you handed them over to the neighboring peoples. But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.”




“你是耶和華 神、曾揀選亞伯蘭、領他出迦勒底的吾珥、給他改名叫亞伯拉罕.你見他在你面前心裡誠實、就與他立約、應許把迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、革迦撒人之地、賜給他的後裔、且應驗了你的話.因為你是公義的。”

“You are the LORD God, who chose Abram and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans and named him Abraham. You found his heart faithful to you, and you made a covenant with him to give to his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites. You have kept your promise because you are righteous.”

“以斯拉站在眾民以上、在眾民眼前展開這書.他一展開、眾民就都站起來。以斯拉稱頌耶和華至大的 神.眾民都舉手應聲說、阿們、阿們、就低頭、面伏於地、敬拜耶和華。”

“Ezra opened the book. All the people could see him because he was standing above them; and as he opened it, the people all stood up. Ezra praised the LORD, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, “Amen! Amen!” Then they bowed down and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.”




“我對王說、願王萬歲.我列祖墳墓所在的那城荒涼、城門被火焚燒、我豈能面無愁容麼。王問我說、你要求甚麼。於是我默禱天上的 神。”

“let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s house, have committed against you.”




“以斯拉禱告、認罪、哭泣、俯伏在 神殿前的時候、有以色列中的男女孩童、聚集到以斯拉那裡、成了大會.眾民無不痛哭。”

“While Ezra was praying and confessing, weeping and throwing himself down before the house of God, a large crowd of Israelites–men, women and children–gathered around him. They too wept bitterly.”





“For Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the LORD, and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel.”





“But many of the older priests and Levites and family heads, who had seen the former temple, wept aloud when they saw the foundation of this temple being laid, while many others shouted for joy. No one could distinguish the sound of the shouts of joy from the sound of weeping, because the people made so much noise. And the sound was heard far away.”



2 Chronicles歷代志下36:23

“波斯王古列如此說、耶和華天上的 神、已將天下萬國賜給我、又囑咐我在猶大的耶路撒冷為他建造殿宇.你們中間凡作他子民的、可以上去、願耶和華他的 神與他同在。”
